MediCare Plus was founded in 2010 by Dr. Eleanor Vance, a veteran cardiologist who believed that high-quality specialist care should be accessible to every Boston neighborhood — not just those near teaching hospitals.
We opened with 3 examination rooms, 2 doctors, and a vision. Within 18 months, word-of-mouth had filled our schedule 6 weeks out. In 2014, we expanded to our current 22,000 sq ft facility on Wellness Drive, adding diagnostics, a day-surgery center, and 6 specialty departments.
Today, MediCare Plus employs 40+ specialist physicians, 120+ nurses and allied health professionals, and has treated over 85,000 patients. In 2023, we received NABH accreditation — the highest quality standard in healthcare.
